Day Out~~~~

Zai picked me up & we left my place for KB 8.15am. On the way, we decided to have breakfast at KK Koya, Telisai. Biasa..., nyaman kali ah! :P It was a bargain. 2 roti kosong & 2 teh tarik only cost $2!! Serious!!

Arrived in KB just passed 10am, then found out, the Rafting Classics almost finished. We missed Zais team in action.

We saw Amir Aseri. He was dressed as a pirate, and no surprise his team won the best dressed for male that day. They were Pirates of the East. He surely acted the part too!!

When we took pictures with him, the Ladies team of BLNG, Vixen Squad - Best dressed for ladies that day, squirted Zai with their water gun! And me too!! Hence, why the pictures nda tantu...

Had lunch at WYWY, KB then off back to bandar.

Got home,then off to MPH, Stadium for ERA Futsal Tourney. It started in the morning already for the group stages. Will be on going coming fridays & sundays until the finals on 27th August.

Stayed inside for about 10mins then Rose decided to get drinks outside. I never got back in until 5pm to bid good bye.hahhaha pandai bah berceta! & Ive only been gone for one nite, & I missed a lot! Macam-macam ada, macam-macam update kekkek

Left at 5pm, thought kan ke Jing Chiew but closed so me, Adai & Chaap ended up at Kopitiam Batu Besurat. heheh then Adai's sis called him to tapau Ideal. kekekkekkekekek & we went over to Ideal Gdg properties and ATE THERE AGAIN!! hahhahahhahahahhahhahhaha. :D Pandai makan!!

Brummies BBQ: Sat, 12th August 2006

I decided to arrive late. But that was just a thought. Yol rang me, "Bah bila tah ko kan ke mari?" oh alrite then. I was thinking of getting a lift from Zai, but after Yols call I asked my bro to send me.

When I arrived, Lina, Yol & Cigu Wahab were menyalai the chix already. 1st batch cooked... and we ate them!! hahahhahahhaha. Ka Yati, Bang Birin & the kids came. Ka Yati was like "Eh, kamu makan udah?". Thats when I decided we prolly need to buy somemore chix wings. Yol suggested 1kg. I said alang2 jua... " Bah mun nda abis, jaga ko ah. Ko tu abis kan." Eshhhhhh they always do that :P Nda abis blame c suh woooo~~~~ But yayyy!!! Ayam abis jua tat nite :D

Cigu Zizah & family, Cigu Ramlee & family, Jamal & sons came. More or less like in d old days.. but honestly, it wasnt. We, the younger generation (me, Yol, Zai & Lina) sat at one table.... with our own gossips of coz!

Later we went inside coz Yol decided to karaoke. I found kuch kuch ho ta hai (spelling?) & percayalah.. hahhahahah NOW its just like old times. HER waking us up sunday morning with those songs. MUAHHAHHAH. Im mean, I know! :P

Got home 11.30pm. Long day ahead ;)

An Optom's Nightmare :|

Last Thursday, I was working in Tutong. Lunch time, me & Ejah decided to go to Tamu Tutong to get some food (nyaman & cheap, u know!).

Ok, that wasnt the highlight of the story... We bumped into a chinese middle-aged man selling ready readers. For those not aware what they are, theyre ready made glasses used for reading. But those werent the only ones he was selling! There were MINUS lenses as well ( to correct short sightedness a.k.a. kabur jauh)!! Really, an optom's nightmare tu! Cheap pulang, only $15.

Funnily, he was trying to sell them to me. If only he knew what I do for a living. If d UK, kana ambil legal action sudah tu....

Ok, imagine this... parents just buying those cheap ones for their kids.... wawaawaaaa... then they come to the clinic complaining of sakit pala bla bla bla.. AIYOOOO!!!

Well, my boss said nda jua apa-apa.... as long as kids dont use 'em.. Hmmmm what are the odds? I surely dun wanna bet on it!

Tanglung / Malam Serumpun 60

Went to see Tanglung last saturday. Parked my car at Azrols. Then we kumpul at Chaap's. Me, Adai, Azrol & Umie, Najib & Nani & Co. heheh her siblings. Parked our cars d SOAS & walked our way to Padang. Bought some food 1st then off to Taman. Adai asked me what I bought.. "Atu saja?" I bought beef burger with cheese, air kelapa & hati buyah. Yup, thats it. hehheh. funny, if I bought little kana tagur, if I bought banyak kana tagur jua!! I share my food kekekek ;)

We found our spot before the entrance gate to Taman, in front of TAIB. I was the last one to sit down, only bcoz of my 'stupid' jeans. I shouldnt have worn those that nite! Ate our food while waiting for the procession.

Then, it started... with fireworks!!! SIOKKKK!!!! Me & my camera.. :D click.click.click.click.nonstop.hehhehe.

Stayed until the end of procession, then walked back to gerai to buy drinks..

Miji rang telling me that the rest of the gang at CZ Qlap. So I asked Azrol if we can drop by. I wanna give them chocholates I bought from KL.

Got home before 11.30pm. heheh. A bit early for Sat nite :p

The Devils & The Devil-in-the-making Are in Town!!!

Lina a.k.a Lai ( to me, Zai & Yol) is back.. for good? We don't know for sure.

Last Thursday, Yol decided to have a Girls' (Ladies) Nite out. Me, Yol, Zai, Lina, Ka Hjh, Ka Yatie & Ebeh went to Seafood Restaurant at Sg. Tilong (yg atas bukit). Not bad actually. We had fish, chix, crabs, prawns, clams... heheh panuh meja!

After dinner, the four of us ronda-ronda town in Zai's car. Yol drove & me Lina were happily chit chatting at the back. As usual, & not for long, Yol tried to buli Lina but this time Lina fought back. It was funny seeing the two of them!! Just like old times!!

After cruising aimlessly (usual spots: Gadong, Kiulap, Batu Besurat), we decided to just lepak. Kopitiam.

Got home midnight...

Healthy Lifestyle In Mukim Keriam: Sinaut Community Screening

Another roadshow last Sunday held at Sinaut, Tutong similar to the one we did in Lambak for the Mukim Sihat Campaign. We only found out last Wednesday, & apparently people were wondering how come we didn’t go to KB. Simple answer: no one told us.

Went over last sat to set things up. It didn’t look that well organized coz we have to make space for our booth ourselves. In between Physiotheraphy & Dental. But it turned out alrite actually. Even made news yesterday (BB, page 3). To Adai, aku pun ada sudah! Muahha :D

It was busy. Like pisang goreng panas. Again. Wherever we go, that is surely the case. Everyone wants to have their eyes checked! People were queuing to see us. Even our DGMS checked his eye. Hehhe.

I took readings on the Autorefractor (machine which measures your ‘degree’ automatically but NOT accurate, mind you!), checked fundus (inside the eye) and manned the display table.

The other departments started packing at 11am, so we packed up. We had some refreshment brought in by Nabel ( baik jua!) before we left, and of course took some pictures!

Went home, & I had a nap. Was supposed to go to ‘Makan 40’ for my late Aunt but too tired to go…

BIT Tatoo 2006

Was it as HUGE as everyone expected it to be? The tickets were gone in one morning. It was like pisang goreng panas. It became the topic of every office, house, cafes in Brunei. “Have you got tickets to Tatoo?”

So we went last Sunday nite. It was interesting…. at first. I was like, how could Zai & Yol leave early? Then we found out. Heheh. Midway, ok maybe after an hour, things started to selowwwww down. & that was when Izza came up with an idea (!), after only watching it for like 15mins (she came late), to go for sushi. Yup, we left. At 9.30pm.muahhaha.

We went to Excapade, Gadong. This story you have to laugh. It’s a good one. There we were in one of the cubicles. Me, Ros & Miji were the first ones to arrive. Ordered our drinks… took pictures… then suddenly the waiter opened the door for the cubicle next to ours. Guess who were sitting there? Them. Yup, Izza, Adai, Chaap & Faezah. We all were laughing our heads off. Astah… hehehheh

After dinner we decided to take photos at this place. Where? If you’re observant and you know Brunei, you’d know where it is… Crazy people? Yes, we are! Crazy, happy & fun!!! That’s who we are ;D

I tell you that wasn’t the 1st time someone thought I was a Chinese girl. I mean maybe now that I coloured my hair, but still….

When I was in KL, few of the salesperson just started mumbling things to me in Chinese. “Errr, sorry I don’t speak Chinese.” “Oh…”

I mean, do I look Chinese at all? I asked my friends and they said no.

I asked my mom if we have some sort of Chinese heritage but she doesn’t think so. My mum came from Danau ( in Tutong) and they speak dusun there. Maybe we have Dusun blood in us.. maybe…

Hmmm….. Maybe it’s my rosy TABAM cheeks…. LOL ;p~~~~

Good thing that we packed our stuff before dinner Sat nite, coz today we were rushing again. We only have 2 hours before we have to leave for the airport. I went along with Nani to Isetan….. & last minute decided to get Mama a bag… I’ve bought her kain batik but I knew she’d be happier if she got a bag! Good decision. She hardly looked at the kain!

Went to Secret Recipe to pick up our cakes! Yup, you read that right. We bought 2 whole cakes to bring home! Hehehheh. One for Izza: New York cheesecake, one for me: Chocolate Banana cheesecake. You have to taste it to understand why….

Got to hotel…. Had one little problem. The driver who agreed to send us to the airport bailed out on us. Luckily, the hotel had a car on standby. Cost us about RM300+ though. Oh well, haven’t got much choice anyway.

We checked in our luggage & I paid for 2kg of excess baggage. My stuff was with Nurul, Adai & Izza. Hehehe. So Im sure it was excess because of me kekke. It was 6kg at 1st, then Adai & Izza took out Burger Kings for hand carry.Hahahhaha 4kg of burgers!! Orang Brunei tah namanya ;) My hand carry consisted of burgers from Burger King & beef foldover from McDs. More food!!

The rushing bit didn’t stop in KL. I rushed my way to the duty free shop to get some chocs for peeps at work & the gang.

Our incoming flight was slightly delayed. When boarding, we couldn’t be bothered to rush our way to the front anymore. Too tired. We left the terminal 3.15pm, & the captain mentioned we could see Sepang on our left. Our next destination :D 16-18th March 2007.

We took off… & I dozed off straight away hhahahhaha. I think the rest slept as well. Some marathon! We took our sweet time to get thru customs once we landed. “Sampai jua sudah, no rush.”

Overall, it was a well deserved break away from the country. For me, it was shopping haven coz sales were on!! But on a serious note, it was a good bonding session for us, just like the old days.. Should do it once a year, right Lings?

Saturday, 22nd July 2006

Today we decided not to have breakfast at the hotel. We had it all planned out. Brunch at Nandos (!!!), followed by dessert at Haagen Daaz. Again, meal was fabulous! We had fondue (apparently it was new & they didn’t have it at the branch near our hotel yet). Nyamannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn sekali! :D

It was already 12 noon by the time we finished eating ice cream. At 1st we agreed on meeting up 3hours later, but looking at the situation & MANY (I’m not kidding. Place was humongous! It was Midvalley afterall) shops that I felt like I have to go to hehehe so we decided to meet up at 4pm instead.

I was running around like crazy, rushing the whole time. At one point I thought I’ve gone thru all floors (3 floors and basement. Each floor like 200m long!), then I just realized I haven’t found Levi’s. That’s when it came to me that I’ve got one more floor to go! Aiyaa!

Found Levi’s with like half an hour to go, bought one jeans and off to some more shops. Silly of me to decide to come back later to a shoe shop, I forgot which floor it was. I kept on going & going but time was up!

I saw Nurul & she told me she spent 1 hr at Starbucks. Hahahhaha. Lucky her. She told us she wasn’t gonna shop anyway. So that’s fair. Then Izza came with her work shirts, & I got Nani’s msg saying sorry shes late and that shes on her way. I took out the Malls directory & found that the shoe shop was on the floor above. No wonder I never found it. I was fidgeting so they said to go back. & heheh I said be back in a sec!! Bought 2 shoes. And I was a happy bunny again :D

When I got back, they were discussing about dinner at KL Tower. Izza wanted to shop some more so they were deciding either to go or to cancel. We made a booking the night before and got reservation for Sat nite.

Good thing we didn’t cancel! We had a wonderful time. ‘Tho it was expensive, the food was brilliant!!

After dinner, we went to KLCC again coz Nani wanted to get a bag there. Hmmmm Nani got herself, not just one but TWO bags! Muahahah. Pandai shopping!! Hehehe errrr I got something too ;)

Got back to hotel & convinced Nani to go down to hang out jap. Sayang jua, Sat nite awal tido? So we did. Just lepak at Starbucks di bawah, & yeah I had choc choc chip again. Kekeke even the waiter pun cakap… again? Stayed out till almost 2am….

Knocked out…. Tired meh…..
