World Heart Day 2007

Date: Sunday 9th September 2007
Venue: Jerudong Park Playground
Time: 6.30am onwards
Theme: Healthy Families, Healthy Communities

Events: Aerobics, Walkathon, Field (Games), Healthy Happy Heart Race (which Im involved in), Colouring Competition.

Before the Race start, there was a line dancing performance from Gleneagles. Me & Effah had a good laugh. HAHAHA. It was just sooo funny, watching our superiors trying to follow the moves. It was like spot the celebrity!

The Healhty Happy Heart Race was based on the Amazing Race. 2 contestants in a team to compete against each other with elimination along the way. They had to complete tasks at each checkpoint to proceed to the next one.

I arrived at JP 6.15am. Lots of people already opppsss hehe was suposed to be there at 6am to set things up. Oh well.... our event didnt start until 8.30am.

Our committee was divided into 4 groups, each assigned at different checkpoints at the playground.

Ours were at the slides, bumper cars & the skating/rollerblading track next to snake & ladder (and yes, in that order). I had fun hiding the oranges for one of the tasks - this was at the slides *evil grin*.

The contestants were really fast, it took them much quicker time than we anticipated for them to complete the task. Mannnn Ive never run that fast in a looooonggg time.

We started at 8.30 and we finished 10 checkpoints around 10ish. hehehe good thing tho... coz once we finished the event we could go home :)
