Watched it last nite 10pm show at the Mall... 15 of us. Yes, thats rite! Me, Nani, Nurul, Fadil, Zmah, Wadi, Adai, Chaap, Nalan, Aming, Die. Miji, Roz, Amir & Gash. hehe meriahhhh!!

It was really good, I must say.. & I said that even without watching the 2nd one. Yeah, some scenes I didn't quite understand but I got the gist. We all had a good laugh.. it was entertaining, lets just put it tat way. One not to be missed!! I'd give it 8/10.

Btw, its 3hrs!! So I suggest better go to the loo if u must, before the movie starts...

Miri Seafood Day Trip

Last week's Wed we had drinks after work at Fleur De Lys... I mentioned to d guys about my craving for seafood at the time & suggested to go to Oceans in Miri.. They said layannnn~~

Last Feb, we did go to Miri with the intention of dining at Oceans.. unfortunately it didn't materialize as they closed for the CNY.

There were Me, Chaap, Adai, Aming d driver hehe & Die. Arrived in Miri around 11.30am.. straight to money changer then off to Oceans around 12noon. Takde orang.. hehehe. We ordered:

Wet Buttermilk King Lobster
Hot & Spicy Chili Crab - only it tasted sweet instead
Green Mussel with Cheese on shell top - soooooo sinful
Dry Butter Culture Prawn + Dark Soya Sauce Culture Prawn
Coral Trout with Tom Yam Sauce
Baby Kailan with Oyster Sauce

At one point we thought we ordered far too much food for just the 5 of us. but haha. Never underestimate the power of seafood craving!! We finished them all.... and kapisan kekanyangan kekekeke esp Chaap. Shudve seen the look on his face!!

Finished eating around 2pm then off to Imperial, Parksons... as usual had drinks at CB then off to last stop at Boulevard. Four of us except Die, decided to try foot reflexology for half hr. Mannnn it hurts!! Well, I've had it done before but this time it hurts!!! Adai & Chaap agreed with me.. and theyre men!! hehehe

Anyhow... mission accomplished.

SO Walkathon & Fun Carnival

It was a loooooonggg day last sunday but it was for charity so wasnt tat bad :) Got my face painted by none other than DJ Iril from Pelangi 91.4 FM. Pelangi live up to their reputation.. the no. 1 station in Brunei hehe... well thanks to the DJs who turned up to Taman Tasek to support the event: DJ Zack, DJ Zura, DJ Ashraf, DJ Zain & DJ Didi.

Woke up just b4 5.30am as I promised Agnes ( a col who was also in the Opening/Closing Working Committee) that I'd leave home by 6am... but turned out I was at Tasek past 6.30am.. Last minute she wanted me to bring along a fancy tray. I had trouble finding one...

Arrived at Tasek... and from that time onwards... busy running here n there trying to set up things in time b4 the guest of honour & the rest of the entourage arrive from their walk from Taman SOAS.

Didn't help also that our volunteers turned up late... or didn't turn up at all. We had shortage of volunteers in the end. Many thanks to those who did turn up and stayed the whole time, namely from SCB and the Scouts. Some volunteers from Baiduri Bank did help in manning the booths in the morning... It was really a battle between the banks hehehhe good for them.... As for HSBC... they volunteered in joining the walkathon... Well... it was good publicity for them all... showing support for the community...

There were flying flox errr fox (hahaha a col pronounced it wrong while he was live on air), wall climbing, coconut bowling, balloons popping, pinata and face painting to name a few. Surely, the most popular was the flying fox. Even Datin Adina went on to try it... I wanted to but oh well.... hehhehe 'too busy' :p

Didn't take my camera down with me, I left it in the car.. what with the walking here and there, from one end to the other.. didn't have time to take shots. We kept looking at the time... 10am, 12 noon, 2pm.. then it was 4pm! Yayyy!! time to pack up hehehe.

Overall, I'd say we deserve a pat at the back... coz we manage to pull it off.. with no budget given at all!!! Bravo bravo hehhehe Only 4 Working Commitee members for the Opening/Closing/Carnival. Yes thats rite. ONLY 4 of us. Imagine. 2 venues. Limited resources. No money. Oh I didnt mention... Cleaning committee as well... yes, we were the last ones to go... hehehe the park rangers scared us a bit. So we picked up every visible rubbish we could see.. Its ok its ok... its for charity~~

I dream & I wish that I'm at a beach at a nice resort right this very minute. Or at least out of the office. Arghhhhhh!!! Even the thought of next week is stressing me out!!!

Ok so I have this SO Carnival to think abt this wknd.. and Sat is supposed to be the setting up day. But nope, I wont be able to help out.. even tho I have 'kelonggaran semasa waktu bekerja'. Ethically, My 1st & foremost responsibility is towards patients. So yeah.. Im stuck at RIPAS... seeing patients alone... up til TUE!!

We're already one staff short, prolly till mid aug... and now my col will be on leave til mon.. but shes got a meeting on tue.. and another one is off to Sydney for a work attachment for 2 wks.. Only confirmed yesterday pm.. typical!!

This isn't the 1st time that I am left alone seeing patients.. not that I mind.. ok maybe I do... only bcoz... patients booked in ( our waiting list is 6-8wks at the moment!!) are a bit handful for just one person to handle. Imagine 14 patients... not a day... one morning!! And thats monday...

As for Tuesday, it'll be a lot more funnnnnnnnnn!! 20+ patients just morning alone... funnn funnnn funnnnn eyyy!!???? Bite me! :S

Hard to resist not to share this story. hehe.

I had 5 yr old Chinese twin boys this morning coming for glasses check. They both came in together with the dad.

I checked twin 1 1st, but even that was such a task. He wouldn't sit still! I had to use matching pictures, as he wouldn't utter a single word when asked. I was using these two colourful kiddies modified sunglasses for checking each eye. While checking twin 1, twin 2 helped himself to the other pair of sunglasses, happily putting it on him.

Then the dad told me.. one of the twins wanted to bring the sunglasses home... (They were speaking in chinese btw.. so I couldn't understand a word).

I told them.." Cannot.. thats auntie's"

Here came the funny bit... Then the dad said... "Oh they're negotiating... one twin to take one home, and the other take another." CHEEKY!!! :D

haha I couldn't help but smile... These two twins must cause problems a lot!! They're sooooo naughty hehe.. and yupe.. the dad said... they're the bosses.. not boss but BOSSES!! haha.

Special Olympics Walkathon & Fun Carnival

Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam will be sending 22 athletes to the World Special Olympics held in Shanghai, China October this year.

This coming Sunday, 13th May, Special Olympics is holding:

Walkathon: The special athletes themselves will walk from Taman SOAS and finishing at Tasek Lama

Fun Carnival: Starts at 9am onwards at Tasek Lama. Activities include flying fox, wall climbing, face painting & many more!!

Reds made it to Athens!!!

So Reds in Champions League Final? What were the odds? HAHAHA. Maybe nx time yeah, Blues fans!

I watched the match this morning... well, half awake, half asleep hehe. But Im glad I did!! Reds are through to the Finals in Athens.. & will meet either Man U or AC Milan.

Man of the Match for me goes to Reina, the GK. He saved 2 penalties: 4-1 to Liverpool after extra time. Agger scored the only goal in the 1st half bringing the aggregate to 1-1. Game could have gone either way, but if Chelsea was to score a goal, Reds need to score 2 based on away goal.

But yayyy!! yayyyy!!! Reds are thruuuuuuu~~~~ Lets just hope Man Utd lose later. Hahaha, Bitter. :p
